The NHS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of the Hepatology team, providing specialist care and support to patients with liver-related conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in cancer care, palliative care, or upper GI/Gastroenterology care. They will be responsible for assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and providing education and information to patients and their families.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Undertake unsupervised clinics and manage patient caseloads
  • Develop and implement care plans, taking into account individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and update databases as required

Person Specification:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
