A highly skilled Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Engineer is required by E3 Recruitment to work at a top chemical manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire. The role involves ensuring seamless operation of plant and process equipment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Offer technical assistance to the site's I&E team to keep plant and process equipment running smoothly.
  2. Confirm that any repairs meet industry standards and plan ahead to replace assets before they fail, minimizing downtime.
  3. Work closely with engineers from different disciplines to boost plant reliability by identifying and fixing underperforming equipment or processes.
Accountabilities:
  • Manage stock levels and procurement of I&E spare parts, updating inventory systems and SAP.
  • Create and revise Instrument and Electrical Instructions (IEIs) on a regular basis.
  • Participate in shutdowns, develop emergency procedures, find alternative spares, and adjust to varying shift schedules as needed.
  • Lead change management processes, assess risks, and update documentation for I&E spec changes.
  • Oversee safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) incident investigations, submit findings, and follow up on actions, including root cause analysis.
