Allen & York is delighted to be working with a global chemicals company, one of the world's leading manufacturers of a product used in various applications.

This role as Process Safety Engineer focuses on managing major accident hazards and risk to the site, ensuring compliance with company standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Process Safety Policies: Lead the development and implementation of internal process safety policies and procedures to meet COMAH regulations requirements and site PSM program.
  2. Provide Technical Assistance: Provide leadership and technical assistance on process safety issues and act as the local expert for process safety activities.
  3. Ensure Site Compliance: Support the site HSE and Engineering teams as required to ensure that each site is fully compliant with all relevant current and future legislation and other requirements in all areas of process safety.
  4. Advise Stakeholders: Advise and support stakeholders on process safety matters (FEED, COMAH, DSEAR, SIL etc.).

Candidates should have experience in a COMAH environment and safety case development or maintenance in a high-hazard industry, ideally chemical sector, as well as experience in Hazard Analysis. Degree-qualified candidates with a desire to work towards Chartered status are also welcome.
