Sustainable Improvement

The Engineering Team Leader will play a key role in driving sustainable, continuous improvement across the site. This role is responsible for delivering immediate and short-term business goals aligned with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), while ensuring the achievement of all key QCDSEM metrics - Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment, and Manpower. This leader will foster a dynamic and inspiring culture where people are motivated, valued, and encouraged to work hard while exceeding expectations and achieving outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Exercise diligent and independent judgment to promote transparent, values-led and professional management of the site.
  2. Act as a professional and trusted advisor to the Engineering and site Management team on all maintenance and engineering matters.
  3. Accountable for driving maintenance completion to the highest standards whilst ensuring all safety and legal requirements are met.
  4. Responsible for the safe control of contractors.
  5. Deliver daily plan briefings & shift handovers.

Requirements

  1. A recognised and validated maintenance engineering qualification or certificate training to NVQ Level 3 standard in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
  3. Level 3 HACCP (or equivalent).
  4. Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.
  5. Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skills to achieve local goals.
  6. A personal commitment to role model behaviours and to leadership and management through example.
