Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Neighbourhood Officer to join our team in Staines upon Thames, Surrey. As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring that all properties are well-maintained and comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a designated portfolio of properties within assigned neighbourhoods
- Carry out and monitor regular estate inspections, tenancy audits, and ensure accurate records are maintained
- Act as a point of contact for residents, responding promptly to queries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
- Ensure the tenancy management objectives and key performance indicators are achieved
- Deliver a strong financial performance by working collaboratively with the service charge team to ensure production of accurate and transparent service charge estimates and in-year block management
- Build relationships and work with both internal and external stakeholders
- Work with diverse tenants who require extra support and refer them to appropriate support services
- Ensure IT systems are regularly updated, and effective manual record systems are maintained
- Attend and represent the organisation at court, external meetings, case conferences, forums, and evictions
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work use
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and community groups
- Knowledge of housing law and housing management issues, welfare benefits, and financial inclusion
- Experience of problem-solving for customers and understanding customer needs
- Experience of delivering front-line (customer-facing) services
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
