About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and customer-focused Enterprise Technology Leader to join our team as Head of Workplace Technology. As a key member of our Technology function, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, strategy, implementation, maintenance, and support of internal technology systems that enhance productivity, collaboration, and overall employee experience across Utility Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy and roadmap for our HRIS and integrated systems, ensuring seamless integration and a secure, coherent, and low-friction user experience.
  • Build a strong understanding of how our systems work together and identify areas for improvement, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Continuously improve our end-user experience, enhancing the daily experience of workplace technology across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to resolving issues and supporting ongoing change.
  • Lead vendor engagement and negotiation for high-value technology platform contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring effective cost management and selecting the right partners for the long term.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background with direct experience implementing, integrating, and planning people-facing systems, including HRIS, identity and access management systems, service platforms, workplace communication and office platforms, and other systems that make up the people systems experience.
  • Experience working at a senior level on technology, operational, and financial areas of a business, providing input and influence, driving change, building business cases for investment, and connecting workplace technology strategy to overall business strategy.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing workplace technology and service management teams, having worked in organizations of similar size or scale with a track record of changing, building, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in service delivery technology, hardware, software, networking, collaboration tools, and mobility solutions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to change and prioritize competing demands, comfortable with the ambiguity inherent in senior roles.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to workplace technology, security, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and operationalize strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive results.
  • Ability to work with and across multiple functions in the organization, establishing common goals effectively met across multiple teams in and outside of direct control.
  • Strong customer service mindset, understanding the end-user experience and helping the team put the customer at the heart of their solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
