Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Enterprise Technology Leader to join our team as the Head of Workplace Technology and Innovation. This is a unique opportunity to lead the design, strategy, implementation, maintenance, and support of internal technology systems that will enhance productivity, collaboration, and overall employee experience across Utility Warehouse.

About the Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of a long-term strategy and roadmap for our HRIS and all the systems that depend on it, including financial systems, payroll, identity management systems, learning and development systems, and communication platforms.
  • Build a strong understanding of how our systems work together and are integrated, and identify areas for improvement to provide a secure, coherent, and low-friction user experience.
  • Continuously improve our people's day-to-day experience of workplace technology across their life at Utility Warehouse, from onboarding to resolving problems and supporting ongoing change.
  • Take the lead in vendor engagement and negotiation for high-value technology platform contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring effective management of operating costs and selecting the right partners for the long term.

About You

  • You will have a strong technical background, with direct experience implementing, integrating, and planning people-facing systems similar to ours, including HRIS, identity and access management systems, service platforms, workplace communication and office platforms, and other systems that make up the people systems experience.
  • You will have experience working at a senior level on the technology, operational, and financial areas of a business, providing input and influence, driving change, building business cases for investment, and connecting our workplace technology strategy to our overall business strategy.
  • You will have proven experience in a leadership role overseeing workplace technology and service management teams, having worked in organizations of a similar size or scale with a track record of changing, building, and developing high-performing teams.
  • You will have strong technical expertise in service delivery technology, hardware, software, networking, collaboration tools, and mobility solutions.
  • You will have experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to change and prioritize competing demands, and be comfortable with the ambiguity inherent in senior roles.
  • You will have knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to workplace technology, security, and compliance.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to develop and operationalize strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive results.
  • You will have an ability to work with and across multiple functions in our organization, establishing common goals that are effectively met across multiple teams in and outside of your direct control.
  • You will have a strong customer service mindset, understanding the end-user experience and helping your team to put the customer at the heart of their solutions.
  • You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
