About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our on-track machines (OTMs) in accordance with railway standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate OTMs in a safe and competent manner, adhering to railway standards and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on OTMs, including troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Assist specialist fitter staff with maintenance and repairs, as required.
  • Communicate effectively with Rail Plant Control Room and Help Desk, reporting any service faults or failures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of computer and phone skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexible, honest, and punctual, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Certified in Vehicle, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • In possession of a clean full and valid road vehicle driving license, to drive company vehicles.
  • Willing to continue learning and be trained, with a positive attitude and sense of professional pride.
  • Able to perform weekend and night shift duties, as required.
