Operational Resilience Strategic Specialist

Job DescriptionThis role requires effective collaboration with all teams at PIC to secure their buy-in and implement improvements to systems, processes, and technology, as appropriate.
- The ability to apply knowledge and insights concerning Operational Resilience and its impact on our policyholders.
- Delivering strong business outcomes relating to capital, profitability, the Company brand, and market reputation while achieving positive outcomes for policyholders, shareholders, and stakeholders consistently.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience/Business Continuity by working closely with the Head of Business Continuity Management.
- Maintaining accurate and clear MI and reporting through Operational Resilience dashboards.
- Successful delivery of the annual scenario testing programme.
- Preparing reports that reflect sound analysis and recommendations for Operational Resilience as part of ongoing governance processes.
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the business.
- Taking ownership of personal learning and development in technical and non-technical skills related to Business Continuity Management/Operational Resilience.
- Staying informed of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in both public and private sectors, as well as best practices related to Operational Resilience.
- Strong understanding of PRA/FCA regulations for Operational Resilience.
- Familiarity with BCI GPG guidelines.
- Established knowledge of tools and techniques used for creating and maintaining Business Impact Assessments (BIAs).
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to persuade and influence others directly or indirectly.
- Ability to work within defined procedures recommended by functional teams.
- Commercial judgement.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Intellectually curious with a willingness to learn through research.
- Effective communicator who structures insights into clear messages and engages others within the business function.
- Innovative thinker who embraces new ideas and techniques to improve performance.
Competitive base salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum.
Bonus plan and private medical insurance are available. Additionally, you will have access to 28 days' annual leave (excluding bank holidays), a generous pension scheme, and more.
