Salaried General Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Saddleworth Medical Practice. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing a busy and varied caseload, and contributing to the development of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care, including routine consultations, urgent assessments, and referrals to specialist services.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including acute and chronic conditions, and develop effective treatment plans to meet the needs of our patients.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audit, and research to enhance patient care and contribute to the development of our practice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
- Current registration with the GMC and appropriate representation with a recognised medical defence organisation.
- Current CRB check (undertaken less than 6 months before the date of appointment).
- A good knowledge of and interest in general practice and primary care.
- Initiative, creativity, and motivation.
- A collegial team spirit and ability to work comfortably in a strongly multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Understanding of the pressures faced by GPs and healthcare teams.
- Willingness to contribute to and participate in a peer support group.
- Strong levels of IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems.
