Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team at Lynemouth Power Station. As a key member of our multi-disciplined maintenance teams, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment relating to mechanical generation and fuel handling activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment.
  • Fault finding and rectifying problems on mechanical equipment.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM's).
  • Working to the site safety rules and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assisting with scheduled and unscheduled outage activities as required, to ensure all aspects of mechanical work are completed to program, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Completing accurate maintenance reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Developing and implementing engineering procedures, instructions, method statements, risk assessments and guidance documents.
Requirements
  • A time-served EITB or NVQ apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a Mechanical discipline area (essential).
  • IOSH (desirable).
  • Engineering HNC (desirable).
