About the Role: MTrec Technical, a prestigious precision engineering and manufacturing client, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join their growing team in Ashington. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing bespoke engineering parts for various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate Mazak CNC machine centers
  • Program and use Mazatrol and ISO languages
  • Develop machining procedures and supporting documentation
  • Follow proven manufacturing processes via Work Instructions & Tooling Sheets
  • Maintain quality of components to high tolerances throughout machining process
  • Maintain satisfactory output levels
  • Work unsupervised, maintaining due regard to Health & Safety requirements

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, understand, and work to Engineering drawings
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Hold ONC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent EITB or C&G)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Use dedicated inspection equipment, SPC procedures, and method sheets
