Job Title: Civil and Structural Engineer

At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the UK's nuclear decommissioning, power generation, new build, and defence markets. You'll be part of a dynamic team undertaking bespoke and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures across all aspects of the nuclear life cycle.

The Role

As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the design of structures in reinforced concrete and/or steel, with a focus on delivering complex and innovative solutions. You'll work closely with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects, ensuring all work is carried out with a positive attitude toward safety, both in design and in the office environment.

Essential Experience

* Has an awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.
* Has an understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
* Previous experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and/or steel.
* Previous experience within the nuclear industry (or other high-hazard industries) and design for seismic loading (desirable).

Qualifications

* Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil/Structural Engineer.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IstructE, or working towards.
