We are seeking a Support Specialist to join our team in South Ribble, providing community outreach support to adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities.

The role involves working independently, providing daily support to promote independent living, and supporting individuals with a range of activities such as walking, football, music, and fun days out.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive and professional relationships with the people being supported
  • Supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and other additional needs
  • Lone working, with a focus on promoting independent living and providing daily support
  • Supporting with daily activities, including leisure and social activities

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A strong core values system and a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Knowledge or experience of supporting people with mental health issues and learning disabilities (although not essential)
  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferable, but training is also provided
  • Commitment to making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, and alternate weekends, with sleep ins
  • Ideal candidate will be a car driver with access to their own vehicle

We are offering a salary of £22,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus £60 per sleep in, and a range of benefits.
