Salary
We offer an attractive salary package of approximately £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a competitive basic salary, bonus scheme, and comprehensive benefits package. The estimated annual salary range is based on the average national salary in the region, taking into account factors such as cost of living, industry standards, and market conditions.

Job Description
Supporting Climate Resilience
As a Climate Risk Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the climate risk team by conducting foundational research and policy drafting, data analysis, and preparing presentations under senior team supervision. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting initial reviews of policy documents, climate risk methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Managing and tracking consultation processes, including compiling and organising stakeholder comments, preparing summary documents, and documenting consultation outcomes.
  • Assisting in refining and implementing climate and nature risk methodologies, reviewing tools, and conducting research and data collection for climate-related financial risk assessments.
  • Preparing comprehensive draft presentations and summary reports, translating complex climate guidelines into actionable operational practices, and managing documentation and filing in line with internal control systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Typically 4-6 years of experience in climate risk, nature risk, coupled with experience working in credit/financial risk analysis.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, and compelling documentation.
  • Proven ability to review and synthesise complex policy documents, translate policy and methodological documents, and prepare executive-style presentations.
  • Proficient in Excel and data management tools, including reviewing and understanding financial models.
  • Excellent documentation and consultation management skills, with meticulous attention to detail, organisational skills, and adaptability to evolving regulatory and methodological landscapes.
