About the Role

The Climate Risk & Resilience (CRR) team at Howden combines business strategy, risk management, financial markets, and climate science expertise to help clients understand their climate risks, build resilience, and use insurance solutions to mitigate their future exposure. This growing, dynamic team is seeking an experienced climate risk analyst/consultant to join them and contribute to delivering exceptional service to retain existing accounts and win new business.

  • This role requires demonstrable experience in climate risk analytics and consulting;
  • A degree or equivalent experience level qualification in sustainability, climate change, physical geography, engineering, or a relevant field;
  • A good understanding of climate risk analysis and catastrophe modeling approaches, as well as concepts of climate adaptation solutions, is desirable;
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to synthesize complex technical documents into decision-useful summaries for a non-technical audience;
  • A good grasp of general risk management approaches and how to embed climate change analysis into an organization's risk management framework;
  • Knowledge of key regulatory and reporting frameworks for assessing and disclosing climate-related risks and opportunities is desirable;
