About the Role

Howden's Climate Risk & Resilience team is seeking a skilled professional to join their dynamic team. As a climate risk analyst, you will be responsible for assisting clients in making informed decisions about their physical and transition climate risk management needs.

Key Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist clients in understanding their climate risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Help the CRR team differentiate itself by delivering excellent service to retain existing accounts and win new business.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement climate risk management solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience in climate risk analytics and consulting.
  • A degree or equivalent experience level qualification in sustainability, climate change, physical geography, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Good understanding of climate risk analysis and catastrophe modeling approaches, as well as concepts of climate adaptation solutions.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to synthesize complex technical documents into decision-useful summaries for a non-technical audience.
  • Good grasp of general risk management approaches and how to embed climate change analysis into an organization's risk management framework.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory and reporting frameworks for assessing and disclosing climate-related risks and opportunities is desirable.
