Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Art Director to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our Frostbite development team, you will be responsible for improving content workflows and pipelines, collaborating with game teams, and driving overall improvements for how Frostbite works with game teams.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Technical Art Directors on game teams to understand their content workflows and challenges, identifying opportunities to improve and implement solutions.
  • Partner with the Frostbite development team to make engine improvements that meet the needs of game teams in production.
  • Lead collaborative improvement efforts that bring Frostbite team members across the world closer to game use cases.
  • Advise the quality verification team on building better workflow tests.
  • Mentor technical artists, engineers, and quality assurance team members on content topics.
  • Drive overall improvements for how Frostbite works with game teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient content creation.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of game development experience, ideally in AAA games or engine development.
  • Extensive experience developing and improving content workflows and pipelines.
  • Expert knowledge of several DCC apps, including Maya, Houdini, Substance, Blender, or Photoshop.
  • Experience optimizing game content within technical constraints.
  • Experience with visual or Python scripting.
  • Experience with game engines, such as Frostbite, Unreal, or Unity.
  • Effective communication skills, able to work with artists, engineers, and managers.
  • A willingness to jump into new technical and creative challenges.
  • Comfortable engaging and building relationships with multiple teams and individuals globally.
