Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate proactively with Technical Art Directors across game development teams to comprehend their content workflows and identify challenges to enhance efficiency.
  • Work alongside the Frostbite development team to implement necessary engine enhancements that support production teams.
  • Spearhead collaborative initiatives that unite Frostbite team members globally to align with game use cases.
  • Provide guidance to the quality assurance team in developing improved workflow testing methodologies.
  • Mentor technical artists, engineers, and quality assurance personnel on content-related topics.
  • Serve as a key leader within the Frostbite Partner Experience organization, driving overall enhancements in collaboration with game teams.
  • Engage and contribute to the broader EA technical art community.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in game development, preferably within AAA titles or engine development.
  • Proven track record in developing and refining content workflows and pipelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in various DCC applications such as Maya, Houdini, Substance, Blender, or Photoshop.
  • Experience in optimizing game content while adhering to technical constraints.
  • Familiarity with visual or Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of game engines, including Frostbite, Unreal, or Unity.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences: artists, engineers, and management.
  • A proactive approach to tackling new technical and creative challenges.
  • Ability to foster relationships with multiple teams and individuals on a global scale.

Compensation and Benefits Overview

The base salary ranges outlined below reflect the defined geographic market pay zones. Salary offered will be determined based on various relevant business and candidate factors, including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs.

Base Salary Ranges

  • British Columbia (varies by location):
    o $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

In addition to base salary, EA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days of sick leave annually, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary for new parents, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan for regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also qualify for bonuses and equity.
