Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at the Education Authority.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized instruction and accommodations to ensure students meet their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver lessons to students with special educational needs, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate learners.
- Assess and record student progress, using data to inform instruction and make adjustments to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide support to students with complex needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and involving them in decision-making processes.
- Participate in staff development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and to enhance teaching skills.
- Qualified teacher with a specialization in special education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and patient approach to teaching and supporting students.
