At Rethink Mental Illness, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Our organisation is committed to helping those severely impacted by mental illness, and we strive to create an inclusive and anti-racist environment.

As an advocate, you will provide support to individuals who need help navigating their care, treatment, and living arrangements. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and then communicate their wishes to relevant parties.

Our advocacy services cover a range of disciplines and are provided in various settings, including secure units, hospitals, care settings, and the community. You will work collaboratively with health and social care partners to ensure that clients receive the support they need.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide statutory and non-statutory advocacy support to eligible clients
  • Work across Wandsworth and Richmond, visiting clients in their homes, care settings, or other locations
  • Manage your own calendar and administrative tasks
  • Travel to team meetings and training sessions as required
