Multidisciplinary Advocate Professional
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Trainee Multidisciplinary Advocate to join our Wandsworth and Richmond Advocacy Team.
As part of our mental health charity, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our clients and staff. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, and we work towards becoming an anti-racist employer, campaigning organisation and service provider.
Our advocacy services provide specialist support to adults and children across various disciplines. We work with health and social care partners to deliver statutory and non-statutory advocacy in secure units, hospitals, care settings and the community.
To succeed in this role, you will be required to complete a Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and develop a thorough understanding of the remits of advocacy, safeguarding and the role of an advocate. You will be supported to shadow experienced team members and develop your skills in providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services.
As a Trainee Multidisciplinary Advocate, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. You will work to empower them to have a say in their situation, understand their rights and options, and support them towards self-advocacy.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and engaged employer. We value the unique experiences and expertise of our staff and strive to become an anti-racist organisation. We have staff networks for Black, Asian and minority ethnic and LGBTQIA+ colleagues, and we are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer.
Our Anti-Racist Programme
We have designed a multi-year anti-racist programme of work to address the issues of racism and inequality in our organisation and services. We are committed to holding ourselves accountable and making progress towards becoming a truly anti-racist organisation.
How You Will Make a Difference
As a Trainee Multidisciplinary Advocate, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. You will work to empower them to have a say in their situation, understand their rights and options, and support them towards self-advocacy.
