About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ITSM System Administrator to join our team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our Product Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation across our strategic ITSM platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of ITSM platform automation and digitization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize process improvements.
  • Design, develop, and deploy new ITSM platform functionality, including the use of AI and Machine Learning.
  • Develop and maintain the ITSM platform roadmap, working closely with the ITSM Product Delivery Manager.
  • Lead programs of change, working collaboratively with business directorates to ensure successful implementation.
  • Research and assess the latest ITSM platform upgrades and releases, ensuring alignment with NHSBT's Tech Strategy and business priorities.
  • Ensure platform stability and maintain high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing full-service lifecycles, with a focus on ITSM platform management.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT best practices, including ITIL.
  • Demonstrated track record in resolving conflicts and persuading others to adhere to protocols and procedures.
  • Experience in service design and transition aspects of the IT service management lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of general IT legislation, including the Data Protection Act and the Computer Misuse Act.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing and managing ITSM platforms, including automation and lifecycle testing.
  • A creative approach to complex problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Qualifications and Training
  • Master's Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience, with a focus on technology or IT.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
  • ITSM Platform certification, such as ServiceNow Administration Certificate.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
