About the Role

NHS Blood and Transplant is embarking on a programme of digital transformation across its strategic IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. We are seeking an experienced ITSM System Administrator to join our newly formed Product Delivery team and play a key role in automating and digitising processes through development and adoption of the ITSM platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of the ITSM platform for NHS Blood and Transplant, ensuring best practice approaches across multiple directorates.
  • Develop and maintain a standardised approach to requirements gathering, capturing, analysing, planning, solutioning, and implementing across the ITSM Platform.
  • Manage configuration of the ITSM platform in a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of the ITSM platform, including automation and upgrade functionalities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across NHS Blood and Transplant to promote the ITSM platform and its possibilities, and to identify and address business needs.
  • Develop and deliver training on system functionality to ensure effective adoption and usage.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Co-chair a community of practice for the ITSM Platform to share best practices and knowledge.

About You

We are looking for an experienced ITSM professional with a proven track record in managing full-service lifecycles, knowledge of IT best practices such as ITIL, and experience of implementing and managing an ITSM platform, including automation and lifecycle testing.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent highly developed in-depth experience, specialist knowledge, and subject matter expertise in a technology subject or professional qualification.
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification.
  • ITSM Platform certification, such as ServiceNow Administration Certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing an ITSM platform, including automation and lifecycle testing.
