Job Summary

You will be a key member of the Product Delivery team at NHS Blood and Transplant, responsible for driving digital transformation across the ITSM platform. Your role will involve automating and digitizing processes through development and adoption of the platform, identifying and implementing new functionality, and collaborating with business directorates to build the platform roadmap.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of the ITSM platform for DDTS and NHSBT.
  • Plan, design, develop, implement, maintain, and communicate the stability and usability of the ITSM platform in a best practice approach across multiple directorates.
  • Manage configuration of the ITSM platform in a multidiscipline approach.
  • Owning and actively pursuing continuous improvement of the ITSM platform, including automation and upgrade functionalities.
  • Manage work collaboratively between NHSBT and third parties.
  • Identify and deliver training on system functionality.
  • Identify, design, and deliver against communication plans for the platform.
  • Co-chair a community of practice for the ITSM Platform.
About You

We are looking for an experienced IT professional with a proven track record in managing full-service lifecycles, knowledge of IT best practice such as ITIL, and experience of implementing and managing an ITSM platform. You should have a creative approach to complex problem and conflict resolution, and be able to demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.

As a key member of the Product Delivery team, you will be expected to collaborate with teams spanning the entire organisation and build strong partnerships with third parties. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
