This Healthcare Research Specialist role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful contribution to health- and care-related research, implementation, and evaluation projects within our Implementation and Capacity Building Team.

Working closely with our team at the Health Technology Assessment Unit, Applied Health Research hub within the University of Central Lancashire, you will be involved in delivering impactful research projects, prioritised through the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Northwest Coast.

Your key responsibilities will include contributing to research capacity building activities, supporting the strategic development of collaborative research initiatives, and collaborating with partner organisations.

Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum. As a Healthcare Research Specialist, you will be supported by experienced researchers and have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you will need to hold a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant area, as well as a Master's degree or equivalent. A proven track record of research management in health and care, including involvement in multiple research and evaluation-based projects, is essential.

You should possess excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines, as well as strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and various research software packages.

Self-motivation, initiative, and excellent communication skills are necessary for success in this position, requiring collaboration with stakeholders and independent work.
