
Clinical Research Manager

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Manager to lead our Cellular Pathology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating research projects, developing strategic partnerships, and driving innovation in cellular diagnostics.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at Royal Preston Hospital, with a working week from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will not be required to provide on-call services for this post.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other consultants and staff to develop specialist interests that complement our existing cancer services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating research projects, including grant writing and budgeting.
- Developing strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations, academia, and industry.
- Driving innovation in cellular diagnostics through evidence-based practices and best-in-class technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full and specialist registration with the GMC, or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.
- A Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview (if UK-trained).
- Evidence of academic excellence in Pathology.
- An interest in research methodology, statistics, and data analysis.
- Evidence of leadership and project management skills.
- Residency within 30 minutes' travel time to Preston.
- A car owner/driver.
The salary for this position is estimated to be £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
