Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced support educator to provide academic support to students aged 6-11 years old with Autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties in a specialist school. This role will involve establishing a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote independence and personal development through various activities.
- Support the Class Teacher in daily class operations, responding to changing needs and adapting to tasks for smooth school operation.
- GCSE Maths and English qualification at minimum Level 3 / Grade C or equivalent is essential.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
