Education Support Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team at a specialist school in Smallfield, Surrey. As a key member of the education staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 6-11 years old with Autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils, promoting independence and personal development, and supporting the Class Teacher in all areas of the day-to-day running of the class.
Key Responsibilities:
- To establish a positive rapport with pupils and provide emotional support to ensure their well-being and academic success.
- To promote independence and personal development through various activities and tasks.
- To work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to implement effective educational strategies and achieve excellent academic results.
- To adapt to the changing needs of the school and respond to any task presented to achieve a smooth-running environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of GCSE Maths and English qualification at Level 3/Grade C or equivalent.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in a special school environment is highly desirable.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a welcome bonus of £1,000.
