School Health Assistant Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with children and young people to promote their health and wellbeing. As a School Health Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and undertaking routine screening of hearing and vision of reception children.

You will also measure children in reception class and Year 6 as part of the National Child Measurement Programme. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to communicate results of health surveillance/health screening to parent/carer using S1 template letter and report back to PHN as necessary.

In addition, you will assist and participate in organizing and preparing health promotion materials, displays, and events. You will also have the opportunity to develop your data entry skills and maintain accurate records on SystmOne.
