About the Role:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Learning Assistant - SEMH to join our vibrant school community in Hatfield. As an essential member of our team, you will provide personalized support to students with diverse needs, helping them overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties, on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student.
  • Help children develop emotional and social skills through positive reinforcement and guidance.
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to implement IEPs and track progress.
  • Assist students in building confidence, independence, and life skills beyond the classroom.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Previous experience as a Learning Assistant - SEMH is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to pursue a career in education and training.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant qualification, such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, would be advantageous but is not required.
  • Ability to commute to Hatfield

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
