The Opportunity
We are a well-established UK Cleaning and Security business with offices across the UK. As we continue to grow and expand our services into Europe, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities.
The Package
- 50k - 55k Basic
- 72k - 77k OTE
- Car or Car Allowance
- Home based
- 35 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
- Flexible hours, plus benefits.
The Territory - The Midlands
The Role of The Business Development Manager
To drive sales growth by identifying and executing new business opportunities, generating new sales and retained sales for the company.
The BDM needs to work on four levels, ensuring all activities are engaged at the same time to achieve positive results:
- Generate and develop longer term prospects and ensure there is a top 20 prospect list which will lead to eventual quotation opportunities.
- Self-generate and convert tender opportunities on a regular basis to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Work on tender opportunities in both the public and private sector, ensuring a pipeline of opportunities exceeds £9 Million in any three-month rolling period
- Attending and converting the generated marketing appointments.
The Person
You will need experience in selling soft services of a contractual nature, with success at selling at a key account or national account level. Our model involves bids and tender presentations as well as proposals and a sales process which is often 3-6 months, therefore, patience as well as self-motivation to create a healthy pipeline is required.
