About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of highway schemes, from design inception to close-out, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project lifecycle, including scheme development, engagement with stakeholders, and close-out.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including planners, construction managers, project QS, asset managers, and designers.
  • Manage the P6 programme, identifying critical path activities and ensuring timely completion.
  • Commercially manage the project, including cost planning, supply chain quotations, invoice review, forecasting, and collaborative cost reviews with the client and project team.
  • Commission and manage internal and external resources, ensuring quality, budget, and programme compliance.
  • Lead on gateways and collaborative cost reviews, preparing supporting documentation and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Provide routine reporting on project schedule, progress, risk, and commercial status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with the Collaborative M25 Community, participating in balance scorecards, forums, and workshops as required.
  • Support the delivery of business sustainability activities and objectives.

Requirements
  • Project management experience, preferably with a recognized qualification such as PRINCE2 or APMP.
  • Minimum degree qualification and membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards such qualification.
  • Broad skills, knowledge, and understanding of highway or structures engineering and associated design areas.
  • Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to highway engineering.
  • Knowledge of the NEC and other relevant forms of contract.
