Children and Young People Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children and Young People Coordinator to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, including selection, placement, induction, planning, and ongoing support.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, ensuring a high-quality experience for patients, families, and staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Services to achieve the team's objectives and contribute to the overall success of the Volunteer Services department.
- Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and patients.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and databases, ensuring compliance with NHS policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in managing volunteer programs, youth projects, or community outreach initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage volunteers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children procedures and confidentiality protocols.
