The Peninsula London is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join its Lobby kitchen brigade, offering a unique opportunity to work in a world-class hotel and deliver exceptional quality food and service to our guests.

This challenging role requires a skilled and ambitious individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting the demands of a busy hotel kitchen.

About the Hotel

The Peninsula London is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Belgravia, offering stunning views over Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch.

Our hotel features 190 light-filled guest rooms and suites, designed by Peter Marino, and a range of world-class restaurants and bars, including Brooklands helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Director Claude Bosi.

Key Responsibilities
  • To prepare and present high-quality dishes, using fresh and seasonal ingredients to meet our exacting standards.
  • To participate in kitchen training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • To maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and HACCP protocols.
  • To provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest queries and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • An extensive knowledge of food and ingredients, paired with a creative approach to culinary excellence.
  • Previous experience within a hotel or restaurant kitchen brigade is highly desirable.
  • Culinary certifications or qualifications are preferred, with some level of apprenticeship also considered.
  • A friendly and positive attitude, with a flexible approach and confidence to lead a team when needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

We offer a competitive salary package of £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, plus benefits such as excellent service charge distribution, life insurance, and enhanced company contributions to your pension plan.
