Parks and Visitor Services Officer
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Kensington, Western Australia.
Under the direction of the Coordinator - Recreation and Trails Unit, this position forms part of the primary point of contact for public inquiries regarding the department's management of recreational activities and trails, events, park alerts, and support for the day-to-day management of the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail, and Cape to Cape Track.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service and respond to public inquiries regarding recreational activities and trails.
- Assist with the management of events, park alerts, and day-to-day operations of the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail, and Cape to Cape Track.
- Work collaboratively with the Recreation and Trails Unit team to achieve unit goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, land managers, and other government agencies.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases).
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Experience and personal interest in sustainable outdoor recreation and trails in natural landscapes.

Eligibility: To be eligible for permanent appointment, it is essential to have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency status.
