Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Location: Guildford, Preston, Frimley. A range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements are offered.

Salary: £43,500 per annum

Job Summary:

The role of Data Governance Specialist involves monitoring and enhancing the data governance framework within BAE Systems. Key responsibilities include defining and refining processes, controls, and reports, identifying opportunities to improve data quality across the lifecycle, and working with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure a clear RACI matrix and defined data standards.

About You:

  • You have a proven data governance or data management background, with experience in the data domain.
  • You possess sound generic, domain, and specialist knowledge necessary for effective performance in the organisation, typically gained from recognised bodies of knowledge and organisational information.
  • You demonstrate effective application and the ability to impart knowledge found in industry bodies of knowledge.
  • You design and implement processes related to data governance oversight.
  • You have experience of data management and governance tools and applications.
  • You have knowledge of the data landscape within a complex business environment.
  • You have knowledge or experience of working with Data Management frameworks.
  • You hold a relevant IT degree or business degree or equivalent experience.
