Senior Chef Opportunity at The Barn Brasserie

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to join our culinary team at The Barn Brasserie, a prestigious fine dining and wedding venue. As a Senior Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to culinary techniques and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and service.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and special event offerings tailored to weddings and fine dining.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of dishes served to guests, maintaining presentation and taste standards.
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules and ensure efficient staffing levels during peak service times.
  • Monitor food costs and assist in managing the kitchen budget to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and support to kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance our menu offerings.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a fine dining environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally a venue offering a similar standard to that of The Barn.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
