Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin speaking Operations Manager to join our team at People First. As an Assistant Manager of Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our back-office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Daily Cash Movement Reports: You will be responsible for preparing daily cash movement reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Manage Payments and Fund Transfers: You will manage payments preparation, fund transfers, and issue trade confirmation to ensure seamless transactions.
  • Investigate and Resolve Discrepancies: You will investigate and resolve discrepancies in settlement amounts and reconcile cash breaks to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain Counterparty Information: You will maintain counterparties' information and SSI against in-house systems to ensure up-to-date records.
  • Participate in Projects: You will actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support Department Operations: You will collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations and provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Banking: You will have experience within a banking role, with a solid understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT).
  • Communication Skills: You will have strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
  • Organizational Skills: You will be highly organized and able to work under pressure and meet specific deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: You will have excellent attention to detail and relevant professional qualifications.
  • Microsoft Excel: You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a team player with diligent work ethic and strong communications abilities.
