**Job Title:** Magnetic Field Enhancement Specialist

The University of Cambridge is seeking a talented PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced superconducting materials. As a Magnetic Field Enhancement Specialist, you will be working on a project that aims to demonstrate the potential of bulk superconductors in shaping and enhancing magnetic fields generated by superconducting solenoidal magnets.

**Project Overview:

  • The growth and characterisation of superconducting properties of bulk superconductors using seeded melt growth
  • Developing suitable methods for the shaping of bulk superconductors
  • MAPPING THE RESULTANT MAGNETIC FIELD PROFILE IN THE BORE OF A SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET

This project offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of superconductor research, combining cutting-edge techniques with industrial applications. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills in materials science, experimental physics, and data analysis.
