About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing crucial support to children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across the region.
  • Work collaboratively with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, and EHCPs to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with a supportive local authority to ensure tailored support for each child.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, regardless of their needs.
  • Foster a positive learning atmosphere using effective behavior management techniques.
  • Assist students in their personal and academic development.
Requirements
  • A compassionate individual passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

  • A rigorous, determined, creative, and inspirational approach.
  • The ability to use various communication methods to deliver engaging lessons and CPD sessions.
  • A caring and passionate approach to developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals, and the local community.
