Job Description

Role Overview: As a Principal Reactor Physicist at National Nuclear Laboratory, you will play a key role in leading our Nuclear and Reactor Physics team. You will be responsible for initiating and leading significant national and international customer projects related to reactor physics and technology, and providing technical guidance to team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neutronics and reactor physics, with experience in using recognized code packages and in-house codes. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and success in reactor physics and technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to identify and capitalize on new opportunities and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects and services.
Requirements
  • A relevant scientific, mathematics or engineering degree combined with significant experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Gen IV reactors and advanced nuclear technologies (ANT) and demonstrated expertise in applying neutronics and reactor physics concepts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
