About the RoleAs a Children's Activity and Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviors. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages young people to develop their skills, build confidence, and form positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Support young people in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
- Build strong relationships with young people, fostering trust, and encouraging open communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Valid driving license and ability to transport young people.
- Age 22 or above.
- NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable).
- Competitive salary up to 32K.
- Location: Bishops Castle.
- Shift patterns: 4 days working, including overnights/ 8 Days off/over four days including overnights.
- Enhanced pay scales, fully funded training, and qualifications.
