About the Role

As a Children's Residential Activity Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and behavioural growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging activities that promote socialisation, emotional intelligence, and behavioural development
  • Build strong relationships with young people, fostering trust and empathy
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Provide support and guidance to young people in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people or in a social care setting (desirable)
  • Valid driving license and ability to transport young people
  • Age 22 or above
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable)

  • Location: Bishops Castle
  • Shift patterns: 4 days working, including overnights/ 8 Days off/over four days including overnights
