Job Summary

As a Strategic Operations Coordinator at National Nuclear Laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of work across our facilities. This position requires a confident individual with experience in planning and stakeholder management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain work delivery plans at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of programme requirements and dependencies.
  • Engage with plant operations and maintenance teams to support and direct the implementation of work schedules.
  • Work with the Project Management community to ensure inclusion of project planned activities in the integrated planning process.
  • Identify and escalate schedule conflicts and movements.
  • Support the Integration Lead in driving improvements across the business relating to Integrated Planning and Outage Management.
  • Provide scheduling analysis to enable reporting on performance.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in Planning and Outage Management.
  • Proficiency in Planning Software (Primavera P6 / MSP).
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels to resolve conflicts.
  • Experience in risk identification.
  • Problem-solving skills at an operational level.
  • Ability to understand business needs and their influence on programme delivery.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Packages (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work without supervision to ensure correct decision making.
  • Drive, determination, confidence, enthusiasm, and a willingness to propose alternatives to established approaches.
  • Ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Customer centricity - strong customer focus both internal and external.
  • Strong team working, able to work with various internal teams to achieve objectives.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, willing to proactively make suggestions on potential developments.
  • Ability to obtain DV level security clearance.
