Technical Support Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Officer to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our operations at Windscale and Central Laboratory on the Sellafield site.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work to stringent deadlines, and have a strong attention to detail. They will also be able to build and maintain strong relationships across the business and have a logical and methodical approach to their work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with monitoring changes in the Sellafield Ltd Management System and ensure the NNL Information Management System (QPulse) is compliant.
- Support and manage documentation on the management system, deliver guidance, and act on issues regarding operational documentation.
- Conduct compliance checks of all Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) procedures and reports/initiates any necessary remedial action.
- Administer key operational committees, including the production of quality minutes, notes for the record, and meeting records that maintain an auditable trail.
- Responsible for records retention and archive documents, ensuring all records are retained or removed as per the Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.
- General administration, including ordering of goods, issuing and control of visitor passes, supporting site visits, arranging meetings, taking minutes, monitoring and control of stationery supplies, one card holder, and administrative support to building management.
- Pick up additional roles, such as Emergency Team Member, Building Controller, Legionella Responsible Person, Asbestos Coordinator, etc.
Essential Criteria:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven experience of organizational skills and time management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the business.
- Detail-oriented and the ability to work to stringent deadlines.
- Evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy, and resilience.
- Strong communicator, able to elicit information from stakeholders at all levels.
- Logical and methodical approach.
- GSCE's (or equivalent) in Maths, English & Science.
- Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial, and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).
