Neurological Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Community Neurological Physiotherapist to join our team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. As a key member of our Community Neuro Service, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with complex neurological conditions, providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals, carers, and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise, and education.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective discharge planning.
- Provide education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on neurological rehabilitation and management of complex conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience of working with neurological patients in a community or inpatient setting, preferably at Band 5 level.
- Documented evidence of professional development and reflective practice in relevant aspects of neurological rehabilitation.
- Postgraduate training in neurological physiotherapy or a related field.
- Experience of working in a neurological rehabilitation setting at Band 6 level.
