About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Coordinate the collation of risks to service and provide governance to validate the quality of evidence supporting these risks.
  3. Capture risks on all assets and services, ensuring accountability to the Risk Manager.
  4. Develop and maintain the Risk Register for your county area and asset base, driving consistent ways of capturing and quantifying risks.
  5. Validate and challenge evidence for each risk and quantification applied.
  6. Proactively identify risks by interrogating corporate data sources and validate with observed data, feeding back discrepancies to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Support the Risk Manager with analysis on risk trends and make recommendations on levels of risk.
  8. Work closely with the Asset Management team to champion and contribute to the continuous improvement of the WRAP framework, aligning it to ISO 55000 best practice.
  9. Provide governance and guidance to colleagues to ensure consistency and objectivity of risk capture, through challenge and feedback and support with training where necessary.
  10. Interrogate corporate asset and performance systems to identify and/or predict asset performance deterioration, adding subsequently agreed risks to the Risk Register.
  11. Provide Risk Register MI into WRAP Tier 3 meetings for prioritization by the Risk Manager and risk sponsor SMEs for Business Unit Risk Assessments (BURA), and county teams as required.
  12. Provide governance for Tier 1, 2, and 3 meetings, measuring compliance with the WRAP framework, ensuring all possible risk mitigation responses have been considered and captured.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant educational qualifications, normally a degree in a numerate or technical discipline.
  2. A Certificate in Asset Management is desirable.
  3. Requirement to maintain knowledge and skills to develop within the role, including working towards or being a member of a relevant professional body.
