Job Title: AML Risk Specialist

United Utilities Group PLC is seeking a highly skilled AML Risk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Wholesale Risk and Asset Planning (WRAP) framework, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our assets and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Risk Identification and Assessment: Utilize data analysis and risk assessment techniques to identify potential risks and threats to our assets and services.
  2. Risk Mitigation and Governance: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Asset Management, and Strategy, to ensure effective risk management and governance.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide regular risk reports and analysis to stakeholders, including the Risk Manager and WRAP Core Team.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Relevant educational qualifications, normally a degree in a numerate or technical discipline.
  2. Certification: A Certificate in Asset Management is desirable.
  3. Professional Development: Requirement to maintain knowledge and skills to develop within the role, including working towards or being a member of a relevant professional body.
  4. Technical Skills: Good data analysis, coordination, and planning skills, with a methodical mindset and attention to detail. Excellent skills manipulating large datasets using Excel, and databases.
  5. Experience: Preferably at least 2 years post-graduate water industry experience.
