Young Parents' Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team in Oxford. As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young parents in maintaining their tenancies and achieving personal goals. Your expertise will help empower residents to take control of their lives, making informed decisions and promoting independence and choice.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Housing Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Promoting independence and choice as a keyworker to residents
  • Conducting health and safety checks and reporting maintenance issues
  • Assessing new tenants and allocating rooms based on procedures
  • Providing advice on tenancy management and housing benefits
  • Ensuring room checks, void procedures, and minimal void periods
  • Conducting risk assessments and liaising with partner agencies
  • Facilitating user participation and informed decision-making


**Requirements**
We are looking for an individual with experience in a customer-facing role who can demonstrate a genuine desire to help young people. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of housing benefits, Universal Credit, and local support agencies, as well as a driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
